Marriage Savers - Divorce Care
Divorce Care® is a video-based curriculum support group facilitated by Sher & Barbara Takahashi.
They have both been through the difficulty of divorce and are passionate about helping others navigate these issues and to put their lives back together again. Divorce or separation can turn you and your children’s lives upside down, and is a pivotal time in your spiritual journey. God has the power and plan to put your life back together again. Because he is your Creator and understands everything you are going through, He knows exactly how to use this significant and difficult event to bring you closer to Him and restore your loss. It doesn’t matter what stage of this process you are in, you will benefit greatly from being part of this group. [Also addressed are the challenges of reentering the dating world and remarriage] Class currently meets Sundays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 409.

About Sher & Barbara Takahashi
Sher Takahashi has been facilitating Divorce Care workshops for 15 years. After his second divorce in the 1980’s, the pain caused by divorce really set in. He has experienced a great deal of spiritual and emotional healing from God’s word since then. He has two children, a son from his first marriage and a daughter from his second marriage. Sher was single for 18 years, and then he and Barbara married in May 2003.
Sher passionately ministers to people experiencing the pain of divorce.
He believes God has allowed this life’s experience in order to facilitate healing for others dealing with divorce.
After her husband ended an 18-year marriage, Barbara re-entered the work world as a broken woman. God drew her close and loved her through the next 14 years as a single mom. The Lord was truly her husband and a father to her children as they all clung to Him. Skyline has been their safe haven since 1986.
Barbara was mentored and discipled, and has gone on to mentor and disciple women since that time. Her passion is parenting and her full time job as assistant to the president of Cuyamaca college.
