Marriage Savers - Stepfamilies

The stepfamily ministry-headed by professional therapist Donna Dennis McBeth and her husband, Allen—seeks to assist those couples who will be forming a stepfamily in their coming marriage; or who are already in a stepfamily marriage relationship. Skyline recog-nizes that stepfamily marriages fail at about the 70% rate, but that appropriate intervention with such couples can save 80% of them. The McBeth’s conduct a 4-hour seminar several times each year for (current or future) stepfamilies. Couples are taught how to deal effectively with the many structural differences and dynamics within a stepfamily.

Biography on the McBeth’s

Allen and Donna have been married for 17 years and have six children and three grandchildren within their blended family. They launched the Stepfamily Ministry at Skyline 15 years ago and currently teach half day seminars at the church and in the community. Donna is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice, former college professor,and a speaker on the My Therapist Sez panel at Skyline. Allen is a retired business owner and is very active in Bible Study Fellowship where he is the treasurer. Their desire is to help strengthen stepfamily marriages and make them more sucessful.
