Pastor Jeremy is a native San Diegan who is proud of his East County roots, having grown up a huge Padres and Chargers fan. After a ten-year minor-league baseball career with the St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers, and Duluth-Superior Dukes ended with an injury in 1998, Pastor Jeremy graduated from San Diego Christian with honors in 1999. He and his wife, Janie, met during their time at San Diego Christian, and together they have three boys.
He earned a B.A. degree with an emphasis in Biblical Exposition. He went on to earn two Masters Degrees from Haggard Graduate School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University. In 2001, he earned an M.A. degree in Religion with an emphasis in Theology and Ethics. In 2005, he earned a Master of Divinity degree. In 2016, Jeremy earned a Doctorate in Church Growth and Multiplication from Talbot School of Theology at BIOLA University in Los Angeles, CA. His passion is to give people the Word of God in easy-to-understand language. He likes to say he’ll provide you with something on Sunday you can use on Monday.
